Alberta New Home Warranty Program
The Program offers deposit protection, builder performance protection, structural integrity and first year warranty protection to home buyers as well as mediation, conciliation and arbitration procedures. In addition to providing warranty services, The Alberta New Home Warranty Program also initiates programs to enhance performance and build technical expertise amongst builders. It also acts as a resource to home buyers, providing relevant information relating to the purchase and maintenance of a new home or condominium.

R-2000
R-2000 is a voluntary standard administered by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and is delivered through a network of service organizations and professionals across Canada.
Developed in partnership with Canada's residential construction industry, R-2000 is one of the initiatives offered by NRCan's Office of Energy Efficiency. This initiative's aim is to promote the use of cost-effective energy-efficient building practices and technologies. Through the use of third-party evaluators and a government of Canada supported certification process homeowners are assured of real value and consistency.

The Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta ("PHBIA") has always been committed to conducting its activities according to high standards of honesty, integrity and the law. This Code has been adopted by the Board of Directors to ensure there is a clear understanding of the standards to be followed by directors, officers and employees. PHBIA also expects its advisers, contractors and suppliers to meet comparable standards.
